Whilst for many the up and coming Festive Season becomes all consuming, anyone who is thinking of ‘tying the knot’ in 2018 (or 2019) might already be looking ahead into the New Year and using this holiday season to search out the perfect wedding venue.  If you are looking for somewhere less formal and expensive than a grand country house hotel, then consider celebrating your special day at one of these fantastic pubs with rooms.  You will find many more options here.

The George in Rye, East Sussex

Set in the beautiful Vale of Belvoir, just a stone’s throw from Belvoir Castle, this smart village pub with rooms draws a discerning crowd for friendly service, seasonal menus and sweet, comfortable bedrooms. Book the restaurant for a quirky, off the wall wedding celebration (they don’t do traditional packages) and doors opening onto the garden.

The Punch Bowl Inn, Crosthwaite, Cumbria

Fabulous Cumbrian bolthole tucked away in the beautiful Lyth Valley close to Windermere offering sublime food, romantic rooms, stunning views, and great walks from the front door. The White Horse, Chilgrove, West Sussex

Set beneath the South Downs north of Chichester, this wisteria-clad former coaching inn is the perfect place for foodies and wine lovers to be fed and watered in style. The vaulted and timbered barn, replete with wrought-iron chandeliers, huge candlesticks, antique dressers and a generous table (seats 14) is perfect for a wedding celebration. The White Hart Royal, Moreton-in-Marsh, Gloucestershire

Revitalised former coaching inn with a bustling bar, warming log fires, classic British food and a mix of traditional and smart boutique rooms, all recently refurbished.
