No need for a car!

Don’t let the absence of a car hold you back – jump on a train and travel at speed and comfort to one of these excellent town and country inns, all located within walking distance or short taxi or bus ride from the railway station. With much to see and do on the doorstep, from shopping and exploring fascinating museums, to enjoying relaxing country walks and cycle rides, you’ll not miss having a car.  Here are a few ideas but for many more pubs with rooms with easy access to a train station click here.

Roebuck Inn, Mobberley, Cheshire

Just a five minute taxi ride from Mobberley station, the Roebuck Inn is a totally relaxed country inn with an informal atmosphere and a huge dose of quirk. Wye is just over an hour from London (walk from Wye station) and the surrounding downland landscape is perfect for cycling (bring your bikes) and walking.
