Every bedroom in the main house is different, with its own quirky character in keeping with the historic style. They are mostly quite grand, rich and ornate with carved headboards, nautical antiques, artwork and estuary views. In total there are 20 ‘Classic’ rooms, two ‘Chic’ and four ‘Luxury’. Rooms are all named after ships that sailed from the local yard: Victorious has a four-poster, Agamemnon has the best vistas, and Pandora is tailor-made for families. ‘Classic’ rooms in the 60s-style annex have a more conventional feel, but include the same features.
